About an hour and a quarter by road, plus the short last stretch from Talavera de la Reina. Nuño Gómez is 110 km west of Madrid, about 1h15 by car down the A-5. Without a car, take a bus or train to Talavera de la Reina, roughly 1h20 either way, then cover the last 20 minutes from there. From Barajas airport it's the same 1h15, straight onto the A-5 without crossing the city. ## By car: an hour and a quarter If you have a car, or fancy renting one for a few days, this is the easiest way to come. Nuño Gómez sits about 110 km southwest of Madrid and the drive is around an hour and fifteen minutes door to door. Less if you clear the city before rush hour. You head out towards Talavera de la Reina, then turn off onto the smaller roads of the Sierra de San Vicente. The last stretch runs through olive groves, oak woodland and a few villages where the right speed is slow and the windows are open.
