We're in Nuño Gómez, Toledo, about 1h15 (110 km) by car from Madrid and from Madrid-Barajas airport. Most of that is motorway, and the last bit is quiet country road. ### Do I need a car to get around? A car helps if you want to explore, and most guests bring one. There's plenty within walking distance of the village, though, and for longer trips we can help you arrange transport. ### What activities are available? Hiking, cycling, yoga, swimming and community cooking nights. The sierra around us is oak woods, granite hills and empty tracks, so most of it starts at the gate. ### Can I get there without a car? Most guests drive, and it's about 1h15 from Madrid down the A-5, roughly 110 km. If you're coming without a car, take a train or bus to Talavera de la Reina, the nearest town, about 20 minutes away, and we'll help you sort out the last short hop into the village. ### Is there parking? Yes, free parking on site, so you can drive right up. Most people come by car anyway, since it's the simplest way to reach the village and to get out into the sierra. ### What's worth visiting nearby? Plenty. Toledo is about an hour away, a UNESCO World Heritage city on a rock above the Tagus, with El Greco paintings in its churches and museums. Talavera de la Reina is around 20 minutes and known for its ceramics, with markets and restaurants worth the trip. Closer in, the Sierra de San Vicente has hiking trails and granite villages. Ask our team for maps, routes and local tips. ### How's the night sky, and is it good for stargazing? It's very good. There's almost no light pollution out here, so on a clear night the sky gets properly crowded. Take a blanket outside, let your eyes adjust, and you'll understand why people stop bothering with Netflix in the evenings. ## Your stay ### What is included in a coliving stay? A coliving stay is a private cabin with its own kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. The coworking space, the shared community areas, the BBQ and the fibre WiFi all come with it. ### Are pets allowed? Yes. Well-behaved small and medium dogs and cats, up to 20 kg, are welcome. Please tell us when you book, so we can confirm it and give any other guests with allergies a heads-up. ### What types of accommodation do you offer? You can choose between standalone wooden cabins and rooms in the Molino. Five cabins sit under the oak trees: one family cabin that sleeps four, from €104.50 a night, and four smaller ones from €71.50 a night. Each is self-contained, with its own bedroom, living room, kitchenette, bathroom and private terrace. The Molino is a restored two-storey building with five rooms, singles and doubles, each with a private bathroom and a desk to work at. The shared kitchen, garden, community room and coworking space are open to everyone staying. ### What are the house rules? Short list, and it's all about keeping Hamlet's Friends peaceful. Quiet hours run 23:00 to 08:00. No smoking indoors. Recycle, clean up after yourself in the shared spaces, and please flush nothing but toilet paper, because rural plumbing is unforgiving. For fire safety, open fires and BBQs aren't permitted from July to October. ### Are cleaning, linen and towels included? Yes. Your cabin or room is cleaned before you arrive, and there's a daily cleaning service after that. Bed linen and towels come with it, changed on longer stays or whenever you ask, and so do the basics: soap, shower gel, toilet paper. There's a simple laundry service too, just ask. ### Is there a swimming pool? The village pool is public, free for our guests, and open in July and August. There's a free padel court in the village too, if you fancy a game. ### Is Hamlet's Friends good for families, couples, or solo travellers? All three. The family cabin has room to spread out. The smaller cabins have their own bathroom and kitchenette, and mostly get booked by couples. A good share of our guests come alone, with the shared kitchen and community room there whenever they want company. Whoever you arrive as, you get privacy when you want it and people around when you don't. ## Work & internet ### What is the WiFi speed like? [Dual 600 Mbps fibre](https://hamletsfriends.com/internet-status/) covers the coworking space and every cabin. That's enough for video calls, big uploads and a normal working day. ### Can I book just the coworking space? Yes. Day passes and multi-visit passes are both available, and you don't need to be a guest to use one. ### What facilities does the coworking space have? Dual 600 Mbps fibre, proper desks and chairs, meeting rooms and booths for video calls, a printer and the usual office supplies, coffee and tea on the house, and tables outside under the trees when the weather behaves. Coliving guests use all of it for free. ### Do you offer a virtual office or business address? Yes. From €20/month plus VAT you get a real registered business address in Nuño Gómez, Toledo. It works as a domicilio social for registering a Spanish company, an S.L., with the Registro Mercantil. That includes mail and package handling, same-day notifications, and support in English, Spanish and German. Real building, real people, no PO box. ### Can I stay long-term, and is it suitable for digital nomads? Yes. People stay a few nights or a few months, and the cabins and Molino rooms work for the whole length of a digital nomad visa. Long stays are where the price really moves: 20% off the nightly rate from seven nights, 50% off from thirty, in every month of the year. With dual 600 Mbps fibre and the coworking space on site, working online here is straightforward. ## Food & drink ### Are meals provided, or is it self-catering? Both, and that's deliberate. El Molino, our own restaurant, is a two-minute walk into the village, open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday and for dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Every cabin has its own kitchenette and there's a full shared kitchen as well, so you can cook when you feel like it and walk over when you don't. [El Molino](https://hamletsfriends.com/restaurant/) is our restaurant and the village bar, a two-minute walk away, open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday and dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Nuño Gómez also has a small supermarket for the basics, open weekdays 08:30 to 13:30 and 18:00 to 20:00, and a pharmacy. Taberna El Duende, also in the village, does traditional tapas and wine. Talavera de la Reina, about 20 minutes away, has the bigger shops and a lot more restaurants. Ask our team if you want a recommendation or a table booked. ## Events, groups & extras ### Can I host a company retreat or team offsite? Yes, [team offsites and corporate retreats](https://hamletsfriends.com/for-companies/) are a big part of what we do. The 200 m² coworking space has dual 600 Mbps fibre, a meeting room set up for video calls, whiteboards and a printer, and the rest of the finca works as the break-out space. We take one group at a time and hand over the whole property, which suits teams of 10 to 20, and our chef builds the menus around your programme. Send us your dates and team size and we'll put a package together. ### Can I book the whole property for an event or wedding? Yes. We host one event at a time on a [full-property buyout](https://hamletsfriends.com/event-location/) basis, for groups from 10 to 200, so the only diary that matters is yours. Weddings of 20 to 60 guests over a full weekend are our sweet spot: five cabins and five Molino rooms so people can stay the night, ceremonies on the covered porch, in the garden or under the oak, and Castilian menus from our own chef. Every event is quoted on its own, so tell us what you have in mind. ### Who is behind Hamlet's Friends? Five of us, from Madrid and Berlin. Two Spaniards, two Germans, and a bit of mystery. We turned an old golf clubhouse in Nuño Gómez into a rural coworking and coliving space, because we think the countryside is due a reboot: the villages, the way people live and work, and whatever community turns up here. Stay a night and you'll probably meet us all by name. ### Can I book extra services like yoga, a haircut or a language exchange? Yes. We work with people in the area who run yoga classes, cut hair and host language exchanges, among other things. Tell our team what you're after and we'll set it up. ### Do you have a referral or partner program? Yes. Introduce us to an event, a retreat, a party or a group, and when they book you take a 15% commission on it. That's around €450 on a €3,000 team-building booking. You make the introduction and we handle everything else. Get in touch and we'll set you up. ## Booking, prices & policies ### What is the minimum stay duration? People stay for a couple of nights or for months. The minimum stay depends on the season and availability, so the booking system is the place to check for your dates. ### How much does a stay cost? [Accommodation starts at €49.50 a night](https://hamletsfriends.com/coliving/) for a Molino room and €71.50 a night for a private cabin, and a coworking day pass is €25. What you pay depends on the season and on how long you stay: the nightly rate drops at 7 nights and again at 30, and booking direct gets you the best price. Live availability and exact rates are on the booking page. ### How much does a coworking day pass cost? A [day pass](https://hamletsfriends.com/coworking/) is 25€. If you're in often, the multi-visit passes work out cheaper: 90€ for 5 visits, 150€ for 10 visits, or 200€ for 20 visits, which is the best rate we do. Companies and groups can ask for a team pass built around them. All prices include VAT. ### What time are check-in and check-out? Check-in from 13:00, check-out by 11:00, both at reception in the main building at the top of the site. Spanish law makes us register every guest, so we'll ask you to scan your ID before you arrive and show it when you get here. Turning up early or leaving late in the day? Leave your bags with us. ### How do I book, and when do I pay? [Book](https://hamletsfriends.com/book-now/) straight through the booking system on our website. Direct is the best rate we have, and the nightly rate comes down from 7 nights and again from 30. We take a 25% deposit to hold the dates, and the balance when you arrive. Credit card, bank transfer and selected online payment platforms all work. If your dates come up full, call us. We almost always find a way. ### What is your cancellation policy? If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, your deposit is fully refunded, minus any payment-provider fees. Within 30 days of arrival the deposit is non-refundable, and unused nights from an early departure aren't refunded. If you don't show up and haven't let us know, the full stay is charged.
