Activity questions, answered

What activities are available?
We offer hiking, cycling, yoga, swimming, community cooking events, and more. The surrounding area is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Is there a swimming pool?
There's a public swimming pool in the village, free for our guests and open in July and August. The village also has a free padel court if you fancy a game.
How far is Hamlet's Friends from Madrid?
We are located in Nuño Gómez, Toledo, about 1h15 (110 km) by car from Madrid and Madrid-Barajas airport. The village is well-connected and accessible by car.
Do I need a car to get around?
While having a car is recommended for exploring the area, many activities are available within walking distance of the village. We can also help arrange transportation for longer trips.
What's worth visiting nearby?
Plenty. Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage city with stunning medieval architecture and El Greco masterpieces, is about an hour away. Talavera de la Reina, famous for its ceramics, is around 20 minutes and good for markets and restaurants. Closer to home, the Sierra de San Vicente offers hiking trails and granite villages to explore. Our team is happy to share maps, routes and local tips.
Where can I buy groceries or eat out nearby?
Start with ours: El Molino is our own restaurant and the village bar, two minutes' walk away — lunch Tuesday to Sunday, dinner Wednesday to Saturday. For groceries, Nuño Gómez has a small supermarket for the basics (weekdays 08:30–13:30 and 18:00–20:00) and a pharmacy. Taberna El Duende, also in the village, serves traditional tapas and wine, and Talavera de la Reina — about 20 minutes away — has plenty more restaurants and shops. Just ask our team for recommendations or help with a reservation.
