The Land Around Us
Nuño Gómez sits in Castilla-La Mancha, hills on one side, olive groves in most other directions. Give it a couple of days and whatever you brought with you from the city starts to go quiet.
You are in the Sierra de San Vicente, the wooded northern comarca of the province of Toledo, where Castilla-La Mancha begins climbing toward the Gredos. Its villages, peaks and marked routes are catalogued by the Diputación de Toledo.

The R-21 links Pelahustán, Nuño Gómez and Castillo de Bayuela. Its posts are numbered and signed with the distance left, so you can pick a direction and turn back whenever you have had enough.
