El Molino is our own restaurant, two minutes' walk away in the village. A garden BBQ is the alternative when the weather earns it, and vegetarian, vegan and low-stimulant menus are standard rather than a favour.

Team offsites & company retreats near Madrid

Looking for a team offsite near Madrid or a company retreat in rural Spain? Hamlet's Friends is about an hour and a quarter from the capital — roughly 110 km down the A-5 — yet a world away from the open-plan office. We're in Nuño Gómez, in the Sierra de San Vicente (province of Toledo), where oak woodland, granite hills and genuine quiet do more for a team than any city hotel conference floor.

The whole site is yours: a coworking space with two 600 Mbps fibre lines and meeting rooms for the working sessions, private cabins for the nights, and the countryside for everything in between — hikes, long dinners, bonfires, stargazing. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the team. It's the kind of offsite people actually remember, and it's close enough to keep the travel painless.

How a rural offsite transforms a team →

What teams say after an offsite here

What a day here actually looks like

No two offsites run the same way, but this is the rhythm most teams settle into — and it is the thing a champion usually has to describe to the rest of the company before anyone signs off.

  1. 09:00Breakfast together, then the working session in the meeting room — dual 600 Mbps if you need to dial anyone in
  2. 13:30Lunch at El Molino, two minutes' walk, cooked by our chef around what the region grows
  3. 16:00Outside: a walk up into the Sierra de San Vicente, bouldering, or cooking together — whichever your team will actually enjoy
  4. 20:30Long table, fire, and the conversation that never happens in a meeting room

How far ahead to plan

Most teams come to us six to eight months before the dates they want, and that is the comfortable amount of notice — particularly for the two busy stretches, September to November and January. That said, plans change and gaps open: shorter notice works more often than people expect, so it is always worth asking rather than assuming the date has gone.

How we quote

There is no per-delegate rate card here, and that is deliberate. A two-night workshop for twelve and a three-day kickoff for forty are different events with different needs, and a single headline number would be wrong for both. Tell us your dates, your headcount and what you actually want out of the days — a decision made, a team that knows each other, a product shipped — and we come back with a real proposal covering accommodation, workspace, meals and whatever else the programme needs. One group at a time means we can build it around you rather than around a template.

Offsite questions, answered

How many people can you host?
Team offsites here usually run 10–20 people, and we can go to 200 for a party. Ten accommodation units sleep the group on site, so nobody is commuting back to a hotel.
Do we get the whole place to ourselves?
Yes. We host one group at a time — a full-property buyout, not a shared venue with strangers in the next room.
How far is it from Madrid and the airport?
110 km, about 1h15 from central Madrid and from Barajas airport down the A-5. Close enough for a Monday start, far enough that nobody nips back to the office.
What does an offsite cost?
We quote each group individually, because a two-night workshop for 12 and a three-day kickoff for 40 are different things. Tell us dates and headcount and you get a real number, not a brochure.
How far ahead should we book?
Most teams plan six to eight months out, especially for the September–November and January peaks. Shorter notice often works too — ask.
What is included?
Accommodation, coworking and meeting rooms, and the grounds. Meals come from our own chef at El Molino, a two-minute walk away, with menus built around what the region actually grows.
What exactly do meals cover?
Meals are quoted with the rest of the programme, not off a separate rate card. There is no standard per-delegate food price here for the same reason there is no per-delegate room price — a two-night workshop for twelve and a three-day kickoff for forty eat differently. Tell us the dates, the headcount and the shape of the days, and the proposal covers the meals along with everything else. Our chef at El Molino builds the menu once the programme is settled.
Can you handle dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and low-stimulant menus are standard here, and the chef designs them as menus in their own right rather than removing things from a plate. Tell us what your group needs when you book — allergies included, and be specific — and it goes into the planning with the rest of the programme. El Molino is our own kitchen, so this is a conversation with the person doing the cooking, not a request passed on to a contractor.
Do we eat the same thing three times a day?
No, and you do not eat in the same room three times a day either. El Molino is a two-minute walk off the finca, in the village, so dinner is a change of scene rather than the same hall with the lights dimmed. It is still our restaurant and our chef, so it is still one quote and one invoice rather than a caterer, a venue and a restaurant booking to juggle. The carta is seasonal and the menus are built for your days, which is the other half of the answer.
