Village life
Coliving (koʊ.lɪv.ɪŋ) is a living arrangement where individuals share common spaces while maintaining private bedrooms, emphasizing community and shared resources. Also known as: the adult version of the best summer camp you never went to.

Whether indoors or outdoors, there is enough space for everyone. Imagine living in a large garden with neighbors from all over the world. The perfect place for a lively community.

And when you need to escape the community for a 'very important call' (we all know what that means), your cabin has everything you need. Complete privacy. No judgment.

The community-curious

Always wondered what coliving is actually like? Come find out — commune vibes not included.

Life in the Sierra de San Vicente

Hamlet's Friends sits in Nuño Gómez, a granite village in the province of Toledo where the plains of Castilla-La Mancha begin to fold up into the Sierra de San Vicente. This is dehesa country: open woodland of holm and cork oak grazed by cattle, with the higher peaks of the sierra rising to the north (the range tops out around 1,370 m at Cerro de las Cruces). It's quiet in the way cities forget is possible — birdsong, the odd cowbell, and a night sky thick with stars. For a rural coliving in Spain, the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting.

And yet you're not cut off. We're about an hour and a quarter from Madrid, roughly 110 km, with Talavera de la Reina — the nearest town — twenty-odd minutes away for a supermarket run, a train station or a proper night out. Most guests arrive by car down the A-5 motorway; if you're coming without one, take a train or bus to Talavera and we'll help you sort the last short stretch.

Days here keep a rhythm the city tends to flatten. Mornings are for deep work with the windows open; afternoons might mean a walk into the oak woods, a swim, or a drive to one of the granite villages scattered across the sierra. Weekends stretch to Toledo, to Talavera's famous ceramics, or to the hiking trails up toward the high peaks. There's always something going on, and never any pressure to do it.

The Sierra de San Vicente is one of the comarcas of the province of Toledo, and its villages, castles and walking routes are documented by the Diputación de Toledo.

Activities

The practical stuff

The romance of the countryside is real, but so are deadlines. Here's what you actually need to know before you pack the laptop.

Internet that holds

Two independent 600 Mbps fibre lines feed the coworking space and the cabins, so a dropped video call is never the reason an afternoon falls apart.

1h15 from Madrid

About 1h15 and 110 km from the capital down the A-5, with Talavera de la Reina as your nearest hub for trains, shops and the airport run.

Stay a week or a season

Cabins and Molino rooms work for a focused week, a slow month, or the full length of a digital nomad visa. Tell us your dates and we'll check what's free.

Simple, seasonal pricing

Rates depend on the season, the room and how long you stay — longer stays work out cheaper per night. Live prices and availability are on the booking page.

Coliving questions, answered

What does a coliving stay include?
Your room or cabin, full coworking access, the shared kitchen, garden, community room and two BBQ spots. Cleaning, linen and towels are included.
What does it cost per night?
Molino rooms start at €50 a night and private cabins at €72, coworking included. Longer stays work out cheaper per night — check live availability for exact rates.
Is there a minimum stay?
We are flexible: people come for a few nights and they come for months. Longer stays get better per-night rates, which is why most guests end up staying longer than planned.
What is the difference between a room and a cabin?
The five Molino rooms have a private bathroom and desk inside the main house. The five wooden cabins are self-contained and stand in the grounds — more privacy, more birdsong. One sleeps a family.
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved dogs and cats up to 20 kg are welcome. Tell us when you book so we can confirm and keep everyone comfortable, including allergy-prone guests.
How far is it from Madrid?
110 km, about 1h15 down the A-5 from central Madrid or Barajas airport. Talavera de la Reina is 20 minutes away for trains, shops and errands.
